FAQ - Business Questions

Business Questions

How do I apply for a long term business visa?

You need to apply for a long term business permit so you can set up and operate your business in New Zealand.

  • You will get nine months to establish and start operating your business in New Zealand.
  • You can apply for a further Long Term Business Permit if you need more time to establish your business, but you need to allow time for the application to be processed. If your permit expires during the time you application is still being processed, you need to leave as it means you no longer have the right to stay there unless you have a legal permit.
  • You can include your partner and any dependant children you may have, but you have to specify whether they will be applying for a student or visitor visa.
